If I was stuck on the ground for 4+ hours after coming in from Gatwick I’d be one seriously cranky man. I haven’t been through immigration at JFK in ages but I’m guessing that’ll add another hour or two to the journey on top.

Wow, they couldn’t find an empty piece of tarmac, an air stair, and a bus? Seems like driving around that long would cause problems for the operation of the rest of the airport.
